The SBA is accepting new Paycheck Protection Program (PPP)
loan applications from banks this week. This follows recent approval of
$284B in new funding, which will be allocated on a first-come,
first-serve basis.
The PPP provides low interest loans to businesses impacted by Covid;
these loans will be forgiven if funds are primarily used for Payroll and
other specified expenses. This round of PPP funding is open to businesses
who are seeking a second draw, as well as those who will be applying for
the first time. Businesses can again apply for 2.5 times their average
monthly adjusted payroll amount; this has been increased to 3.5
times for those in the lodging and restaurant industries. Businesses
without employees can also participate, with funding based on their 2019
net-income.
As we previously announced, Priority understands the
challenges that many small businesses faced in accessing PPP funds in
previous rounds. As a service to our clients, we partnered with Adesso
Capital, our valued lending partner. Adesso provides an easy online
application which will be immediately processed by an SBA approved
lender. Adesso’s Lending Professionals are also available to answer your
questions and resolve any application issues through their dedicated PPP
hotline. There
is no cost to you to utilize these services.
In previous rounds, available funding was depleted very quickly. This
time should be no different. We
encourage you to begin your application today. | |
